Spring weekends are for the dogs.
Reverend Arleen and I, along with All Creatures ULC spokesdogs Muffin and Tootsie, headed over to Pets and Bets this weekend for a little fun in the sun. Unfortuantely, the sun was pouring down and the power went off!
Still, we had a good time although most of the rescues had to pack up and leave. We watched and voted on the fashion show from under a covered area of the mall and shopped at several vendor tables. The chair massage folks were doing a brisk business too.
The fashion show was great fun. All the dogs were adorable, even the big ones, and I wanted everyone to win. And the dogs and other animals that were there seemed to have fun, especially with all the doggie treat samples.
Needless to say, it wasn't exactly what the event organizers had planned. But we still had fun. And there is still time to help out all the no-kill shelters with a donation. You can donate online at the Pets and Bets website. Just click on the Donations tab.
