Halloween Fundraising Event for Michigan Animal Adoption Network, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, The Town Tub, 3595 Pontiac Lake Rd. (between M-59 and Cass Lake Rd.), Waterford, MI. Proceeds will benefit For Better Independence Assistance Dogs, a charity that trains assistance dogs to help the disabled. $20/dog the day of the event. Halloween Photos at The Pet Emporium, 4940 Ann Arbor Saline Rd. (northwest corner of Ann Arbor Saline Rd. and Pleasant Lake Rd.), Ann Arbor, MI. Bring your pet and your whole family for a Howling good time. These photos turn out great! Come in costume if you want! Free treats for you and your pet!
Pets and Kids Trick-or-Treating, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm, White Lake Pet Supplies Plus, 8020 Cooley Lake Rd., White Lake, MI. There will be trick-or-treat bags for dogs and cats, and donuts, cider, and treats for kids and adults. There will be scratch-off tickets available that will give you discounts on your favorite items! Also, for $10.00, you can get a digital photo taken of your pet or kids. Best Friends Clinton Howl-o-ween Spook-tacular, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm, Best Friends Clinton, 33711 Harper Ave., Clinton Twp, MI. Events include: doggy games and activities (“Musical Sits,” “Simon Says”) doggy trick or treating, pet costume contest with prizes for Best Dressed, Pet-Owner Look-Alike, Scariest, and more! Canine to Five Basic Obedience Class, 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm, Canine to Five, 3343 Cass Ave., Detroit, MI. This is a 6-week class, and we will be skipping class Nov. 25, so it will go for 7 weeks this time. Basic Obedience covers simple behaviors such as sit, down, stay, come when called, walking on a loose leash, leave it, and drop it. Behavioral issues like chewing, jumping, and nipping are covered as well. In this course we aim for 100% reliability, which means that your dog listens to you the first time every time. The added distraction of the other dogs in class helps your dog learn to listen to you in any environment.
