BBC News reports:

The president of Guyana [Bharrat Jagdeo] has asked police to investigate who is impersonating him on Facebook, the social networking website.

Well, he's not alone.  You can befriend these world leaders on (supposedly) personal Facebook profiles:

Omar Bongo, Gabon
Anerood Jugnauth, Mauritius
Danilo Turk, Slovenia
Mswati III, Swaziland
Abdelaziz Bouteflika, Algeria
Juan Evo Morales Ayma, Bolivia
Haris Silajdzic, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Islom Karimov, Uzbekistan
Zine el Abidine Ben Ali, Tunisia
Cristina Fernandez De Kirchner, Argentina
Robert Mugabe, Zimbabwe
Multiple Hugo Chavez, Venezuela, and Queen Elizabeth II, Great Britain

Doubtful many of these are real, since the profile picture is usually straight from Wikipedia.  On the other hand, don't national leaders have more important things to worry about than phony Facebook profiles?

Especially since Jagdeo only had 170 friends.

Warning to pranksters:  According to the BBC report, someone was previously jailed for a bogus Moroccan royal family member profile.
