We all know that the most important loved ones in our lives are our furry four-legged children. So of course you will want to get them the best gift that you can to show your love. Well, this year go cheap.
There is no need to buy your dog a big fluffy bed, extra chew toys, give it more food, or extra free treats. Since money is tight this year and will be in the following years go back to the basics of your animal to show your love.
Exercise is the best way to go. It allows your animal to work out a bit and few animals don't enjoy it.
For the dog - Get outside and go for a walk. Play some ball. Go for a swim, the dog not you. Allow yourself and your dog to enjoy the outdoors. Find a walking trail and let your dog sniff the wonderful smells that only dogs can enjoy. Don't skimp out on this, half an hour or more this Saturday will show your dog just how much you love it.
For the cat - Buy a toy that makes it move. A laser pointer is a cheap gift to your kitty that will amuse you both. If your cat does not find the red dot any fun find toys that get your cat moving. They have a mouse that is attached to a string, which slips onto the back side of your door. The mouse makes real mouse noises when touched, it's cheap also. My four cats started playing with this almost right away. Warn the family members so no one thinks you have mice or don't it's up to you. Give them something to case or hunt. TP rolls work well, balled up paper or tinfoil make great toys also. Have fun with it. Cats are very amusing to watch. So enjoy it!
And of course, if your animal likes to be petted there is no better way to show love then to give your friend a little extra love. There is no need spend lots of money, loving your animals is easyer then you think.
