Facebook learns from Friendfeed, or something

July 21, 11:24 AM

TechCrunch  should be required reading for anyone wanting to learn more about what’s happening in the online world, and the Twitter stream is a great digest.

This story www.techcrunch.com/2008/07/21/the-friendfeedization-of-facebook/ is no exception. I like Friendfeed, but I’m having trouble integrating it into the daily fabric of my over-connected life. I’ll keep working at it, because it’s worth the effort, but I’m glad Facebook is bringing similar functionality into its platform.

I like the idea of having a single (commentable) content stream for all of the stuff that’s happening with my friends and me, though I wonder if it’ll get unmanageable, or if things that I’d find compelling will be left out.

We’ll see shortly.

Mad Men Twittering. Did they have text messaging back then?

September 22, 8:56 PM
My name is Don Draper, and I am a fictional character. I resisted it for a little while. I have a strong affinity for the AMC (and Emmy-winning) TV series “Mad Men,” though I’ve saved up a bunch of this season’s episodes to... Read More
