Yeah Yeah Yeahs to fill Beastie Boys slot at Lollapalooza '09

Heading to Lollapalooza.
Lollapalooza organizers announced today that Yeah Yeah Yeahs will join the festival's '09 lineup. The Brooklyn indie rock band will fill the Saturday night headlining slot previously held by legendary hip hop act Beastie Boys, who have been forced to back out of all their scheduled tour dates due to Mike Yauch's (MCA) recovery from Parotid gland cancer.
Currently promoting recent release It's Blitz!, Yeah Yeah Yeahs will join fellow headliners Jane's Addiction, The Killers, Kings of Leon and Depeche Mode in Grant Park August 6 through 8.
If you haven't already, buy your Lolla tickets now. $80 a pop may sound expensive, but if you wait until the last minute, you'll end up paying hundreds to a scalper.
