Twilight 'New Moon' is still a big hit at the box office.  According to the Associated Press, 'New Moon' remains at the #1 spot at the box office for the second straight week.  'New Moon' reaped in $42.5 million, and the #2 spot - a football drama about Baltimore Ravens tackle Michael Oher - raked in $40.1 million.

Twilight 'New Moon' dropped off to $42.5 million from $142.8 million the weekend before.  'The Blind Side' was up from around $34 million to $40.1 million.  However, people are still flocking to the theater to see 'New Moon.'

I recently went out to a movie theater in Nashville to speak with people as they went in.  The following people were going to see 'New Moon':

Gracie, a 34 year old, brought her 12 year old daughter to see 'New Moon' for the second time.  Her daughter loved 'New Moon' so much, that she purchased the movie 'Twilight' on DVD and received a free movie ticket inside.  Gracie agreed to bring them back.  Her daughter bats for team Jacob.

Mike, a 35 year old divorced dad, is bringing his 14 year old daughter to see 'New Moon' on his weekend.  His daughter said her dad is the coolest dad ever and she can't wait to see the movie.  She bats for team Jacob.

Lily, a 23 year old graduate student, is going to see 'New Moon' by herself for the third time.  She said she doesn't care about the less-than-stellar reviews from the critics and loves the 'Twilight' series.  She bats for team Edward.

Davidson County residents are still going to see 'New Moon'.  You can expect that die-hard 'Twilight' fans to go see the movie multiple times.  Although there were bad reviews for the movie, it has proved to be a strong success, and has been #1 at the Box Office for two weeks in a row.
