I realize these animals aren’t necessarily part of Bay Area wildlife, but honestly how could I resist?

If I could bring lions to your living room, bears to your bedroom and kudus in your kitchen - you’d want me to share that with you, right?

Wild animals from around the world are here at your fingertips through webcams that are set up in every land, on every continent.

What you’ll be witnessing is live animals in real time living their lives - while you’re living yours.

Some of the webcams are streaming cams and some are 10 -15 second updated videos. At some sites you’ll find that registration is necessary, but I assure you it’s worth it. Cruise through them at your leisure and find a couple you really enjoy so you can visit these beautiful animals everyday.

I hope you’ll watch the world’s wild animals with wonder, amazement and respect. I find that when people can get close to wildlife, they begin to understand them. With understanding comes attachment and finally, protectiveness. This is how I’d like everyone to feel about the wild creatures that share our world.

Watch the cams. Be in awe.

Africam - Africam has many live streaming cameras in different locations of Africa. Once you sign up for your free registration, you'll be able to choose anyone you'd like to watch - we're talking giraffes, zebras, and lions here.

National Geographic Wildlife Webcam - At this site, you'll find 7 webcams to choose form: Africa, Kakadu, Belize Reef, grizzlies, polar bears, seals, and cranes. Remember that some of the cameras may be seasonal.

Xcel Energy Bird Cam - The cameras found at this site are on owls, osprey, eagles, falcons, and kestrels.

Bald Eagle Cam - This is The National Wildlife Federations's cam on a bald eagle's nest.

Go Wildlife Watching - This site has other sites linked to it for backyard wildlife watching. The animals might be a little more common, but just as entertaining (especially the squirrels. The cams offered here include hedgehogs, foxes, bluebirds, and squirrels.

Project Feeder Watch - These bird cams are located in Colorado.

Nest Cams - These cams are set up at nest all over the place. They include barn owls, wood ducks, and peregrine falcons.

Upstream - Birds from the Brazilian Atlantic Rainforest.

U See Wildlife -  Viewers have been able to see and hear Bears, Bald Eagles, Golden Eagles, Whitetail Deer, White Deer, Wild Turkeys, Bobcats, Coyotes, Trumpeter Swans, Owls, Hawks, Cardinals, Ducks, Doves, Squirrels, Chipmunks, Raccoons, Woodpeckers, Herons, Egrets, Foxes, Osprey, Kingfishers, Roadrunners, Blue Jays, Buntings, Geese, Beaver, Turtles, Snakes, Frogs, Fish, and many more animals and birds.

*I'll be adding new wildlife cams as I find them. Feel free to email me if you have some great links!
