Abraham McDonald

Who needs American Idol when you have the Oprah Karaoke challenge? With the help of gospel singer Bebe Winans, Oprah selected 8 semi-finalists from across the United States to compete for America's vote. Last week, the semi-finalists sang their hearts out in hopes of receiving enough votes to earn a spot in the top 3. The lucky finalists were Abraham McDonald, Donnie Denny, and Rob Weddle.

On today's show, the finalists had to sing their hearts out for America and the judges one last time.  This week they were judged by David Foster, Diane Warren, and L.A. Reid

Rob Weddle

The first singer up was Abraham McDonald.  He sang Oleta Adam's "Get Here".  David Foster said Abraham's performance was "200% better" than last week.  Diane Warren said "Wow!"  L.A. Reid said Abraham struck the "perfect balance."  If you want to vote for Abraham, you can vote until midnight central standard time by dialing 1-866-874-2501.

Rob Weddle was the second performer to the stage.  He sang Boston's "Peace of Mind".  Diane Warren said Rob sounded "excellent."  L.A. Reid said he didn't "admire the song", but he admired Rob.  David Foster suggested that Rob become a songwriter.  If you want to vote for Rob, you can vote until midnight central standard time by dialing 1-866-874-2502.

Donnie Denny

The final performance came from Donnie Denny.  He sang Tim McGraw's "It's Your Love".  L.A. Reid gave Donnie a "ten."  Diane Warren said it was a "sincere" and "amazing" performance.  David Foster said he didn't think Donnie was cut out to be a superstar.  If you want to vote for Donnie, you can vote until midnight central standard time by dialing 1-866-874-2503.

After the finalist sang a song of their choice, they had to sing a random karaoke song.  Abraham chose "My Girl".  Donnie chose "Sweet Caroline" and Rob chose "I Can't Make You Love Me."  Now, it's all up to America.  Tune into tomorrow's Oprah to find out who will win Oprah's Karaoke Challenge.
