There is almost nothing harder than finding a soul mate except maybe a soul mate who shares your passion for horses.  At the very least it would be great to find one who understands enough not to mind being a barn widow/widower.   Is there anyone left out there who will support your obsession and not feel threatened when it seems that your four-legged friend always comes first? 

Maybe it’s time to give technology a try and see if you can find your significant other on the computer.  When I went on Google, I had over 200,000 hits involving equestrian dating sites.  Anyone of them could have the perfect mate for you but here’s a sampling of a few that look interesting.  

Fitness Singles - This is a website where  you can meet local singles who are into the same activity – including equestrian sports – as you are.  Personally, I had some technical difficulties signing up at first so be patient.

Equestrian Cupid – You need to sign up before you can take a look at search results so I can’t tell you if they have a lot of matches to offer.  The website has a lovely beach theme, if that matters.  

Horse Lover’s Connection – Pretty standard stuff.  The site is more Western themed so it might not be as appealing to the English rider. 

Equestrian Singles – This seems like an interesting site but  there are slightly odd ads here.  Still, the site can't control the ads Google puts there so it's not fair to count off for that.
 
Farmers only -  Interesting, very down to earth site.  These guys don't seem all that sophisticated but you can easily read their heartfelt desire to find an equally down to earth woman.

Equine Meet -  The site has a super nice design and is easy to navigate.  

If you’re thinking about joining any of these sites here’s my tip; don’t put pictures of you riding your horse unless it’s a heck of a picture.  Even then, try a close up so people searching can see what you look like.  It's shallow, but how much can you really tell from a fuzzy picture of you and your horse at a full gallop?
