The Fine Arts Ministries of the Parker United Methodist Church is once again pleased to host Handel’s Messiah.
Performances: December 6th 2009 at 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary.
Community Rehearsals: Wednesday 12/2/09 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday 12/5/09 at 9:00 a.m.
All ages and vocal abilities are welcome and encouraged to participate! The choir is supported by the large choir from the Parker United Methodist Church but the director, Kurt Stroman, welcomes any and all community members that would like to be a part. Kurt says "you don't have to have a perfect voice or know the piece by heart, you just need to love to sing and want to join in the experience of putting your voice with 80 other souls and an orchestra and let God do the rest." If you have your own copy of the Schirmer score you are asked to bring it, otherwise there will be copies to purchase or use available at the first rehearsal.
A recording is made of both performances and is available for a nominal fee.
