If didn't have a girlfriend, I would be in trouble right now. There’s no chance I would have secured an Easter brunch reservation two weeks ago. Now the availability to get into some of the best restaurants in town is pretty limited unless you want to scrape the bottom of the buffet pans at 3:30 p.m.

Luckily, my lovely lady jumped on finding us a brunch reservation long ago.  But you didn’t; that’s why you are reading this on a Saturday in a panic.

Brunch? Easter? Tomorrow?

I feel your pain, so I took a look around and found three great restaurants that still have some availability tomorrow. You better hop on them fast, though, because I’m guessing you’re not the only brunch lover who dropped the ball on the holiday rush.

Izakaya Den
1518 S. Pearl St., Denver, 303.777.0691
We’re not sure if anyone in Japan understands the American obsession with brunch, especially on a holiday such as Easter. That being said, Izakaya Den has wonderful Japanese-style tapas, sushi and sake—and space for you tomorrow.  Step outside your normal brunch routine, and you will be rewarded with the wonderfully creative menu built by the same folks who brought us Sushi Den.

The Fort
19192 Highway 8, Morrison, 303.697.4771
The Fort is known for its wide selection of game meats and steaks. It’s also an experience in itself, the type of restaurant that needs to be checked off every foodie’s Denver culinary to-do list. You have to go just for the building alone, a fort inspired by an 1830s Colorado fur trade center. And since there are still a few tables left on Easter, you can get a last-minute reservation at a stellar restaurant tucked into the foothills. Main features include a roasted leg of Colorado lamb, served with au jus and mint pesto, and a ham steak. There will be an Easter egg hunt and music throughout the day.

Highland's Garden Café
3927 W. 32nd St., Denver, 303.458.5920
We have to have one truly traditional brunch offering on this list, and Highlands Garden happens to offer one of the most fabulous brunch spreads in Denver. This Highlands mainstay features kitschy décor and abundant gardens that are showing signs of blooming and quite frankly. It just feels like home. When you walk in, you’ll be overwhelmed by the sweet smell of just out of the oven cream cheese topped cinnamon rolls. Order a plate—or better yet, two. The lobster and asparagus eggs benedict is wonderful as is everything else on the morning menu. I couldn’t imagine a better place to spend Easter, and am quite surprised there is still a table or two.
