Printing and Paper

Novels are big. Even small novels translate into lots of pages coming out of your printer. Often many, many times. My novel is a monster in terms of size. At the moment it's approximately 170,000 words, which translates into hundreds of pages.

I try not to print unless I have to, but sometimes our eyes pick up mistakes on the printed page that we miss on a computer screen. So, to avoid feeling wretched every time I hit the "print" button, I try to always buy 100% recycled paper.

Since I know that any draft I print is going to end up in the waste bin or (preferably) the recycling bin, it just makes sense to me. I don't want something beautiful to die so I can correct sentence structure.

Yes, I know Earth Day was yesterday. But this seemed like a responsible way to make everyone feel bad about their habits for an extra day.
