Tis the season for tofurky! As mentioned in a prior article on meatless alternatives, vegetarians and vegans have no fear of feeling left out this Thanksgiving. Thanks to our friends at Turtle Island Foods there are not just one but a few delicious turkey impersonators to pick from.

Introduced in 1995 the first tofurky roast is still a favorite and is filled with a wild rice and whole wheat stuffing. Consumers can also decide on mushroom a “giblet” gravy to go along with it. The possibilities for this wonderful product are really endless. If you visit their web site you can even browse through more than 15 different tofurkey holiday recipes. The roasts are made using only certified organic tofu, and

Turtle Island Foods boasts about it’s commitment to top quality food. all of their products are 100% vegan and contain NO MSG. Everyone agrees that the faux turkey is a big hit! It tastes, smells, and cuts just like a real turkey roast. It’s almost too good to be true!

Feeling up for a challenge this year? Why not take PETA’s pledge to “go cold turkey

and try a vegetarian diet for 30 days. Not convinced? Why not listen to rock god and horror movie director Rob Zombie (proud vegetarian since 1982) talk to you about what these poor gentle giants go through before ending up as your dinner. It's enought to make even the most seasoned serial killer cringe. If you do decide to go the cruelty free rout this holiday season (tofurkey is great at Christmas time too!) then help yourself to a coupon here

Turkeys everywhere will finally have something to be thankful for.
