Teenage Zombies Ate My Free Time

April 23, 12:10 AM
by David Thomas, Video Game Examiner

I'm a sucker for portable games.

Sure, I love the big name console games. But waiting for the bus, the Xbox 360 just doesn't come with a long enough extension cord to reach the stop. Killing time in between meetings, the PlayStation 3 is too conspicuous to enjoy for a few minutes at my office desk. And laying in bed and playing the Wii sort of misses the point of the motion control Wii remote.

So, while Teenage Zombies: Invasion fo the Alien Brain Thingys for the Nintendo DS isn't a classic game, it's a portable amusement that has sucked me in the past few days.

A little light action, a lot of puzzle solving and zombies as the heroes is enough to keep me engaged.

After all, how many zombie games can you name that come with an E 10+ rating, claiming the fun is okey dokey for kids ten and up?

So listen kids: Zombies are shambling undead monsters that crave the brains of living humans. But don’t worry, these zombies are cute, cartoon teens and the only brains they want to eat are the pulsating pink brainmeats in jars from outer space, those Brain Thingys intent on controlling the world.

Have fun!
