Melanie Fiona at Carol's Daughter in Harlem
There is a new talent on the music scene and her name is Melanie Fiona. Melanie Fiona was recently spotted at Carol's Daughter in Harlem signing CD's and showing her fans some love. If you haven't heard of Melanie then you are missing out on her rich and powerful voice. And don't pass her off as another R&B singer as she just opened up for Kanye West during his European Tour in 2008, not too bad for her first time out.
Melanie is a Canadian born R&B artist who burst onto the music scene with her hit song 'Give It to Me Right.' Music critics have compared her to Amy Winehouse but once you take a full listen to her debut CD
'The Bridge' you discover that Melanie Fiona has a classic sound that is all her own. Melanie's parents are Guyanese and she grew-up in the inner city of Toronto before moving to the states.
Melanie's debut album is titled 'The Bridge' and hits stores on November 10th. Make sure you pick it up and support real music.
