If you live in Cincinnati, and you love the atmosphere of coffee shops, but you also love to go out for a relaxing beer or two, Rooties is the place to go. The atmosphere is calm, but fun at the same time. The owner, Vic, is the nicest person you will ever meet. He’s very friendly and generous, and he only hires bartenders with personalities that are inviting and friendly. Unlike most bars, the bartenders will learn your name quickly and try to get to know you as soon as they serve you your first drink. The next time you walk in, it’s like walking into a party where the host knows you, and was hoping for you to show up.

Not only does Rooties have great customer service, but it also has drink specials Monday through Thursday. The wonderful thing about this is that when you get off work, and you need a place to wind down, you’ll know where to go. First off, Mondays are Pitcher Beer night for only $6. Mondays are tough for everyone, but if you stop by Rooties after work, their great price and friendly service will definitely relax you.

On Tuesdays, Rooties features Rock Band 2. If you’re a fan of Guitar Hero, you’ll love Tuesday nights. The hosts form bands, and if there are enough people participating, they have an exciting Battle of the Bands. Just tell the bar tender that you and your friends want to start a band on Rock Band, and you can have a blast, and save money by grabbing a few beers for an amazing price.

Wednesdays are “Bucket of Beer” night. Wednesday is “Hump-Day,” and a great way of going out to enjoy half of your work week being over is to grab a nice bucket of beer at Rooties! Another great and unique feature of Rooties is their jukebox. It’s an old fashioned jukebox where you press a button, and the pages turn. Rooties has personalized discs from the regulars, which gives Rooties that unique experience as you’re enjoying that bucket of beer.

Thursdays are amazing at Rooties. Their special is “Big Beer Thursday.” Big beers means a huge 24 ounce mug of beer for only $2.50. This saves your money, and the beer is fresh. Thursday is when a lot of the regulars come out to enjoy a night at Rooties. The regulars are very nice, and it’s a great opportunity to meet new people. The bartender on Thursdays is Scott, and will be one of the funniest people you’ll ever meet. He is extremely Friendly, and definitely knows his mixed drinks.

Fridays at Rooties are pretty popular. Most times, you’ll go there with a few friends, then you’ll see people you didn’t expect to see that night. There is always a random crowd on Friday, and it usually consists of people you haven’t seen since high school. When you become a regular at Rooties, you’re always greeted and most times get acknowledged by the regulars when you walk in. The bartenders will learn your common drinks, so that you’re prepared to have a good time the moment you walk in.

Overall, your experience at Rooties will never be dull. All of the different bartenders have different and (sometimes hilarious) personalities that will leave you wanting to come back for more. Rooties isn’t just a bar, it’s a gathering of friends, and there’s never a dull moment! Rooties is located across from the Long John Silvers on Harrison Avenue, right on the edge of the Cheviot bar district. The owner is present most nights, and he will definitely make you feel like you’re at home. It’s not just about going to a random bar to get a few drinks, but it’s also going to greet a few fellow Cincinnati neighbors. It’s about going to hang out with a few friends, and play darts, jam to a few songs on the jukebox, and definitely always having a great time.
