Assassin's Creed 2 Ezio
Ezio, the protagonist/antagonist in Assassin's Creed

Good news for Ubisoft this week! In its first week, Assassin's Creed 2 has sold a greater number of games than its predecessor did.

Worldwide, 1.6 million copies were picked up by fans, new and old alike, which reflects a 32% increase compared to the first week of the original Assassin's Creed that was released in 2007.

Assassin's Creed continues to holds the spot for fastest selling new and original intellectual property in the United States. With the high scores AC2 is collecting from reviewers, it's probably safe to say that Ubisoft improved a lot of things from the last game with the help of feedback from fans. So good job Ubisoft!
