Susan Worley is a certified elementary teacher who says that there are alternative methods of learning that are very effective and would like to see such methods used more often. For the past 25 years she has researched methods for achieving the peak of human potential, studied right brain and left brain learning, subliminal dynamics, self hypnosis and the Silva method of mind development. She says that she first encountered the term 'super learning' in the book Psychic Discoveries Behind the Iron Curtain by Sheila Ostrander and Lynn Schroeder.

"They talked about a man who used yoga breathing patterns to put kids into a relaxed state so they could learn better and faster," she said."It took them 10 more years to get their book Super Learning on the market. Another book that led Worley in the direction she has taken was "How to Teach Your Baby to Read" by Glenn Doman, Director for the Institute for Human Potential in Philadelphia. He had worked with severely brain damaged children who had never spoken.

"Doman discovered that even tiny children can read. This is because children are enthralled about learning. The only reason that children can't read at the same time they learn to talk is because the words are too small," she revealed."I advocate the use of red letters five inches high. Children taught this way are bright and enthusiastic about learning. The book "Teach Your Baby Math" shows that it is possible to give your kids super intelligence by teaching them lovingly. Each lesson takes only five minutes and you present the material to them twice a day making a fuss over them. By the time he is own, he can do numerous math functions and be self-reliant.

Worley has developed a program called "Go Baby Go" based on her ideas and experiences. It is a four-year cirriculum presented in 13 week segments."I am an absolute proponent of teaching very tiny children," she concluded.
