Want to avoid a weekend of hiding in your cave waiting out the storm?
Here are some events that will give you an opportunity to get out of the house, mingle, get the brain juices flowing, and enjoy Seattle at its best.
Couch Fest is an amazing, new type of event. Get the flavor of a film fest from other people's couches. Take in as many 30-minute films as you want. $10 for the day, 10 different houses, 10 different focuses. Films and discussions run from 11am to 8pm, followed by an awards ceremony at The Night Owl at 10pm. Still not convinced? Check out the details at their website.
Saturday and Sunday:
The Ethnic Heritage Council has loaded the Crossroads Mall in Bellevue with beautiful displays and cultural events. They have two stages of entertainment, an international bazaar, and best of all, it’s free. Want more information? Check out their Festival Brochure.
Sunday Only:
Wolverine and the Justice League have come to town. Well, at least their creators have. The ComiCard Convention is at the Seattle Center in the Rainier Room from 10am-5pm. Would you like to meet the artists who are behind the heroes? Wondering if that old comic book is worth anything? Entrance to the event is only $5 - $4 with a canned food donation.
