BMW M3 GTS
The M3 E46 CSL version of BMW offers a version of the "track ready" M3. This is the GTS. She suffered a drastic reduction program: equipment such as air conditioning, radio, and rear seats were removed. The result is a weight of 1,500 kg, which is about 180 kg less than the standard M3. A roll cage and bucket seats are delivered automatically.
The car was also blessed with many technical developments. The engine gets a new crankshaft , butterflies and individual admissions. The result is a power of about 450 hp, an increase of about 30 hp. There is also some adjustment in the suspension and the braking system which is enhanced with fixed calipers, 6 piston front and 4 piston rear. Then there is the aerodynamic tricks, including an adjustable spoiler and a new front spoiler blade.
The car is due to go on sale first in Germany in May 2010. It will be available here next summer and will only be available by order. The sale price is about $ 171,000.
