Thai Ginger at Redmond Town Center offers both exquisite Thai cuisine and a beautiful, exotic setting. The floor plan is open, and yet the small wooden tables give a feeling of intimacy, while the stunning pagoda and the beautiful carvings lining the walls create an elegant ambiance. Even so, Thai Ginger’s prices are similar to other Thai restaurants in Redmond. (View the slideshow to experience the food and atmosphere for yourself.)
Specializing in Thai cuisine, Thai Ginger offers a rich menu of items. Begin with several choices of soup and appetizers, and be sure to try Thai Ginger’s fantastic spring rolls, featured in the slide show below. Unlike Chinese egg rolls, the spring rolls are bite-sized and filled with rice noodles and vegetables garnished with a tangy sauce.
For a light meal, choose from several soups or salads, but for the more luscious entrees, look under the house specialties and barbecue categories. These stir-fried, rich and aromatic dishes are made with various types of spices and vegetables depending on your choice and come in chicken, beef, pork, tofu or vegetarian. Each entrée includes a side of rice or noodles, while the Pathai dishes made with stir fried rice noodles are soaked in flavor and topped with your choice of chicken, beef, pork or tofu.
The zesty aroma and flavor of ginger is present in many of Thai Ginger’s dishes, though not all. The barbecue selections in particular are dominated by soy and heavenly seasonings. Tiger Tearless, featured in the slide show is made with marinated, aged steak, and served with a soy dipping sauce and sticky rice. Also featured in the slide show is the Phad Thai with chicken, made with ginger and peanut sauce and served with sprouts, shredded carrots and a slice of lime.
Compliment your meal with wine or a cocktail. For a refreshing, non-alcoholic beverage try the Tazo iced tea and Thai ice tea or coffee, or a soft drink. Hot coffee and tea are also available. But leave room for dessert, especially Thai Ginger’s famous Black Rice Pudding, served with coconut milk.
