Looking for a little seasonal learning & fun for the kids? What about a well-deserved day off for mom and dad to run some of those holiday errands? The Jacksonville Zoo has some great offerings at this time of year to keep the little ones learning and busy. Why not consider a supervised learning camp for the kids in exchange for a day of holiday preps for you?
Offering topics ranging from winter solstice to snow birds, reindeer hooves to animal tracking, Jacksonville Zoo camps give your homeschooler a chance to hang out with other kids in a safe & supervised environment while learning something new. Generally geared toward the elementary set (ages 6-11), check out the list of December and January activities at the zoo for a complete listing of seasonal programs for all ages.
Fees range from $40-$50, depending on your membership status, and include lunch and snack. Sounds like a great way to keep the kids busy and learning while you check -off a few items from your "To-Do" list. Consider picking up a family zoo pass for a great gift-giving idea, too!
