The Denver area holds so much talent for the theatre, and yet at times it can seem like decent auditions are hard to come by. But there are several upcoming auditions for actors to be aware of and to prepare for in the next few weeks.

The 73rd Avenue Theatre Company is holding auditions for the 2010 season. The auditions will be held at the 73rd Avenue Theatre, located at 7287 Lowell Blvd, Westminster. Auditions will take place on November 7th from 9am-12pm, and from 3:30pm-6pm. They will also be held on November 8th from 5:30pm-8pm. The season includes a plethora of shows for actors to sink their teeth into, or to just have fun with. Included in the line up this year are regular shows such as The Imaginary Invalid, Gypsy, and Murder by Appointment. The theatre will also hold auditions for childrens' shows including the Sword in the Stone, Beauty and the Beast, and The Velveteen Rabbit, plus many, many more. Auditions are by appointment; headshots and resumes are required. The audition will consist of cold readings from the script.

In addition to this the Victorian Playhouse is holding auditions for Creation of the World and Other Business by Arthur Miller, on November 17th and 18th from 6pm-10pm. The Victorian Playhouse is located at 4201 Hooker St. Auditions are by appointment. A headshot and resume will be required, as is a 1-3 minute monologue, preferably of a dark comedy style. Callbacks will take place on November 19th from 7pm-10pm.

Finally, the Germinal Stage is holding auditions for Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas on November 30th and December 1st. Auditions will be in the evening and by appointment. A headshot and resume will be required, and a five minute or less monologue which best displays your talent for the show should be performed. Appointments for auditions should be set at least ten days in advance. The Germinal Stage is located at 2450 W. 44th Avenue, Denver, Co.
