University of Maryland senior wins USA Boxing scholarship

Congratulations to heavyweight Josh Stone of the University of Maryland Boxing Team. Stone was one of 23 boxers nationwide to receive a scholarship from the USA Boxing Foundation.
The senior Architecture major and co-captain of the Maryland Boxing team recently returned from Seattle, WA where he stopped an opponent from the Air Force Academy in the first round. Stone will head to West Point, NY to face an opponent from the US Military Academy this weekend.
A reminder: The University of Maryland hosts the 2009 National Collegiate Boxing Championships on April 2, 3 and 4 at Ritchie Coliseum.
