O.K. Twi-hards (of which I am a member) and cosmetic freaks, this one’s for you….
Mixology, the brain-child of Rachael “Rae” Ward, is an award-winning, pure mineral makeup that is vegan-friendly and free of chemicals, synthetic dyes, parabens, & preservatives. This year, Mixology was included in an Emmy Award nominees gift basket and was on-hand for the “Some Boys Don’t Leave” film premiere.
Ward has loved playing with make-up since childhood. “My babysitter was a make-up artist and enlisted me in make-up boot camp,” she jokes. “I was hooked.” After working at a “non-creative” job, she decided to pursue her passion and start a cosmetics line. “I discovered that having a company manufacture and package make-up is very expensive. At those prices, I wouldn't even buy my makeup! So I began doing a lot of research about the process of making my own pure, superior mineral makeup. That’s how Mixology was born!” she exclaims.
She adds that her make-up is also perfect for those with delicate skin. “I am a sensitive skin nut and never wore foundations, because it made me break out. This encouraged me in my quest to create make-up that not only protects my skin but actually improves it,” she says.
Ward initially created the cosmetics as a hobby for friends and family to play with. “I would ask them what colors they needed or have them try out one of my latest creations,” she says. “When I was sure that it was of the best quality, I launched my company.”
Ward admits that she is somewhat of a “Twilight” freak and has developed a new line by Mixology called Twiology, color palettes inspired by the various characters from the film and books. Now she is looking for regular folks, not actors or models, to represent each character look in her line.

7 categories - Bella, Alice, Rosalie, Esme, Jane, Victoria, & You Choose = don’t see your character? Want to create an inspired look of say one of the books or of the town of Forks or maybe La Push, then grab the “You Choose” sample kit to show us your inspired look and tell us the story behind the look.
I am proud to announce that I will be one of the judges amongst prominent members of several “Twilight” fan sights.
The Grand Prize in each category includes your character photo(s) to be featured on Mixology Makeup.com and other Mixology sites, Twiology Makeup Kits, Twilight Inspired jewelry from BellaBejeweled.etsy.com, and much, much more!
