New York is experiencing Indian Summer, a few days of uncharacteristically warm sunny weather experienced in late October and early November. It occurs after the leaves have changed, after we've grown accustom to the cold nights snuggled in our flannel sheets and before we have to shovel our sidewalks and de-ice our windshields. These warm temperatures make us wish we didn't pack up our tee shirts and flip flops and store them away in exchange for snow boots and slippers. But just when we foolishly believe that the warm weather will last, Indian Summer will be over and New Yorkers will be in snow boots, hats and gloves and shoveling our cars out of the snow.
SO, enjoy the warm weather. Sneak outside during lunch to enjoy the above normal temperatures and the bright sun. Because before you know it, we'll be watching snow and wind outside our office windows.
