Holiday shopping can be stressful, the lines, the crowds, the choices, and of course the stress of spending money.  Many holiday shoppers spread out there shopping season for the entire month of December, with a few days spent drifting through the malls in November as well.

Although stress is a part of holiday shopping, there are ways to relieve that tension naturally.  Making infusions with herbs for stress relief can bring a little peace and tranquility to the most tense shopping days.

Herbs for stress relief

Any one of these herbs for stress relief can be made into an herbal infusion, also called a tisane, or simply herbal tea.  Many, such as chamomile and lavandar, blend well together.  These herbs are nervine tonics.  They sooth and relax the nervous system.

How to use herbs for stress relief

To make an herbal infusion, use one to two teaspoons of the dried herb.  Steep in boiling water for about ten minutes, covered if desired.  Enjoy as is or sweeten with honey.  There herbs for stress relief can be sipped at the end of the day for a more restful sleep and tension relief after shopping all day, or brought along in a thermos.  Yes! Organic Market is a local shop that has a number of bulk herbs to choose from.  These stress relief herbs can be found there in bulk or bagged form.
