A car travelling at a high speed plowed through a crowd at a parade for the Dutch royal family, killing at least five people, and injured 13 others .

Queen Beatrix and her family looked on in horror as the car eventually came to a stop when it hit a monument.

The incident took place in Apeldoorn, about sixty miles outside of Amsterdam.

According to Sky News:

Cynthia Boll said she saw about 20 people "flying through the air" after the black Suzuki car swerved across police railings, where crowds of people were waiting to see the queen pass.
