Parents, mark your calendars! In spite of the balmy weather conditions, the holiday season has begun! Santa will be busy this weekend making appearances at several festivals and venues across the GTA. The following is a list of events sure to put your family in the holiday spirit:

1) The 105th Annual Santa Claus Parade gets underway in Toronto on Sunday, November 15th at 12:30 PM. The event is recognized as one of the longest-running Santa parades in the world. The morning of the parade, enjoy a free breakfast with Santa.

2) This Saturday, November 14th, bring your little ones to the Hamilton Santa Claus Parade for food, fun, and refreshments. It runs from 2PM-4 PM.

3)  The Royal Botanical Gardens will kick off the season with their Doorways to the Holidays exhibit starting November 14th. On November 15th, from 11AM-4PM, your children will have the opportunity to meet Santa's reindeer.

4) In Milton, Springridge Farm will be hosting their Christmas Open House with Santa this weekend. Activities will include ornament workshops, and a design-your-own-gingerbread-cookie class.  Open house activities run from 10AM-4PM on November 14th and 15th.

5) The Country Heritage Park in Milton will be sparkling with holiday lights this Saturday and Sunday. Starting at 6PM, the Heritage Parade of Lights gets underway, in which vintage tractors and farm machinery will be on display. Children are also welcome to visit with Santa, Mrs. Claus and the elves.

Enjoy the festivities this weekend, and be sure to create family memories that will last a lifetime. Happy parenting!
