Entrepreneur magazine's March 2009 issue published this insightful advice about how different types of employees like to tackle problem solving:

GEN Y Employees -- Form a team to brainstorm a solution. Then, use the web and social networking for research.

GEN X Employees -- Think up a list of solutions on their own. Then, call a meeting to discuss those solutions.

BABY BOOMER Employees -- Think about what's worked in the past and how it can be replicated. Then, call a meeting to have a discussion.

Think how powerful it can be to include all your employees in problem solving and to use all the approaches!
