Libraries are upping their "hip" quotient.
This Reuters article points out that many libraries are increasing their stock of digital music, books and movies in an effort to increase traffic through their doors and to their Web sites.
You still need a library card, and Internet access. And you need downloadable software that allows you to capture the content. Then you simply pick the titles you want and add them to your digital book bag.
Thousands of titles are available and can be displayed on a number of devices, including Smartphones, iPods and iPhones, Blackjack, Zune, Treo and Sansa.
And libraries have another reason for embracing digital content - it takes up a lot less space on the shelves.
