Democratic candidate Barack Obama, meanwhile, has used the power of the Internet to bring in millions of dollars and help organize his campaign.
Should that difference matter? Depends on your viewpoints, and technology policy does not dominate this campaign.
Still, there are plenty of folks weighing in on the candidates' tech policy (or lack of same). Here's the Mother Jones' take, and another story on the topic (from the London Telegraph) is here.
A CNet interview with McCain that focuses on technology, based on a questionnaire from last November, is here. The CNet Election 2008: Technology Voters' Guide provides a snapshot of where several candidates - including Obama - stand on tech issues.
Obama's Web site provides a more in-depth view of his technology policies here.
And here is McCain's technology page on OnTheIssues.
Of note: both candidates agree that the federal government needs to make the Research and Development tax credit permanent.
