Best Buy teaming up with iPhone

August 13, 1:07 PM

Best Buy stores will stock the iPhone next month.
Today's announcement that Apple will allow its iPhone to be sold at Best Buy stores has sparked speculation about whether Apple will allow other retailers that opportunity.

Best Buy is the first retailer outside of an Apple or AT&T store to have the iPhone on its shelves.

Best Buy currently resells Apple's Mac computers and iPods. Its stores recently upgraded their cell-phone departments to promote the Best Buy Mobile brand.

Channel Web has weighed in with what today's announcement could mean for those still looking to buy the iPhone.
