Still Questions About Switch To Digital TV

That government-mandated switch to digital television - now just nine months away - may have some growing pains, if the experiences of some folks are any indication.

The Washington Post reports some people in the D.C. area have problems with the reliability of their current digital signals - which makes them wonder whether they'll be able to watch television at all once the switchover to all-digital, all-the-time is complete.

The date to remember is Feb. 17, 2009. That's the deadline for broadcasters to turn off their analog signals and move to all digital. Estimates are that some 14 million U.S. households still rely on antennas to receive their television signals.
