Ziggs joins the social media business buzz

September 30, 1:24 PM
by Darrell Proctor, Business Examiner

Business professionals have a wealth of social media options to keep them connected, from LinkedIn to Naymz to Spoke ... from A to Ziggs.

That's Ziggs.com, which calls itself "Your one-stop source for building your online brand, marketing yourself on the web and simplifying communications with people."

A key for Ziggs? A membership (it's free) means users can get an "instant" e-mail each time someone searches for them online (via Google, Yahoo!, MSN, AOL and others) and checks out their profile.

Ziggs also offers options to find and post jobs, create and join groups, list yourself in professional directories.

There's also a pay option that Ziggs says can drive your name and profile to the top (or near the top) of search engine lists. The first month is free; after that, it's $4.95 a month.
