Jatropha - fuel of the future?

Jatropha seeds can be ground up, with their oil then used for fuel.
Biofuels are big business as governments search for alternative energy sources.

The Jatropha curcas could be one of the more unusual sources for biodiesel. The plant (also known as Barbados nut or Physic nut) is a poisonous non-food species, so its use won't diminish food supplies.

Several of the world's poorer countries are looking at Jatropha as a cash crop. India already has a national program devoted to the crop's development.
