Philip Rosedale is the founder
and former CEO
of Second Life. (Fast Company)

The virtual world of Second Life is becoming a meeting place for businesses. (For those not familiar with this virtual world, check out the attached video.)

This report from Fast Company says companies are holding "business meetings, conference calls and classes" via the site. The founder and former CEO, Philip Rosedale, says IBM and Cisco are among the companies utilizing SL.

Rosedale also talks about why many users have left the site, why others are sticking around, and why he stepped down as CEO.

He also talks about his next big idea - something about organizing information in the virtual world.
