Bill Gates no longer is involved
in the day-to-day operation
of Microsoft, but he'll likely still occasionally
visit the company's HQ in Redmond, Wash.

We know one thing - Microsoft's former chairman says he's going to give saving the world a try.

Having conquered software, and enriched himself - and to a great extent, mankind - Bill Gates is set to become even more involved in philanthropy.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is a $37 billion enterprise. You can do a lot of good with kind of money, and that's apparently just what ol' Bill plans to do.

This article from The Seattle Times outlines what the immediate future may hold for Gates.  We suspect he won't just be goin' fishin'.
