It's not yet Thanksgiving, but retailers already are having big sales in hopes of overcoming a down economy and saving the holiday sales season.

And there are big hopes for online sales, including Cyber Monday, the first day many folks are back at work after the long Thanksgiving weekend.

Stores like eToys, Target, Walmart, Sears - and nearly every computer maker - already are having online sales, and several of them are for items only available online.

There are lots of deals at Cyber Monday, and if you've been an avid online shopper in the past, no doubt your e-mail inbox already has been filled with special offers. More are sure to come.
