NYC buses and trains to sport digital advertising

You've probably seen them on the blimps at the Super Bowl and other sporting events. You might even catch them on the top of a taxi.

New York City is taking it a step further. Its transit agency is ready to test digital advertising screens on the sides of the city's buses.

Titan Worldwide and NYC have partnered on a 10-year, $800 million deal. The ads will be displayed on the city's buses and commuter trains; Titan says GPS technology will allow it to change the ads based on the buses and trains' locations.

New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority is first testing the system in Manhattan. It hopes to have 200 buses displaying ads by early next year.
