In the heart of Golden Colorado, there is an amazing little coffee shop/deli called Windy Saddle Cafe. It sits right under the big sign that says "Welcome to Golden" and what a warm welcome it is. They offer all sorts of beverages but the sweet chai is especially delicious. A warm chai on a chilly day is definitely inviting. Not to mention the homey western feel of the dining area. They even have a corner dedicated to children called the "Kids Corral." What a great place for moms, dads, and nannies to bring the kids for a snack. The girl behind the counter, Kelsey Branch was very sweet and wore a spectacular apron which she made herself.

For lunch they serve sandwiches, hot or cold, made in house. The Thunderbird is a popular choice. It is one particular sandwich that tastes like heaven on earth. It's the perfect lunch spot because they offer wifi and there are plenty of tables to set up shop with a laptop and briefcase. The variety of drinks that they have to offer is definitely impressive. The steamed milk was perfectly steamed with velvety foam on top.

This cafe is the perfect place to grab a bite to eat and relax with a cup of coffee or tea. It's warm, cozy, and just what should be expected of Golden, Colorado.
