The importance of girls’ nights and guy time

Spending quality time with your boyfriend or girlfriend is an important element to any relationship. Especially in the beginning, you want to spend every waking moment with that special someone. But in order to maintain a healthy relationship and ensure that it is long lasting, it is so important to have considerable time apart. Time apart allows you to really appreciate the time together. Even though sometimes you might be inclined to get hurt or upset when your man or lady wants time with their friends, don’t get angry. It’s healthy, important, and ultimately fun for both of you to have girls’ nights and guy time.
Girls’ nights allow you to let loose with your ladies and talk about things maybe you can’t talk about with your man. Whether you take a trip to the city to go dancing, have a fancy dinner out in Santa Cruz, or just stay in with some cocktails, it is so important and valuable to get that girl time. Furthermore, guy time is important for men so they can let out their masculine tendencies that are sometimes suppressed when they are spending all their time with their lady.
More importantly, you have to keep that green monster of jealousy out of it! Guys; don’t always assume your lady is out flirting with other dudes. And ladies; don’t always presume your man is up to no good when he’s out with his guys. The bottom line is, even if they are flirting or doing things that you wouldn’t necessarily like if you were there, it’s important to just let it go and trust them. If you can’t trust your significant other, than what’s the point?
Don’t lose your friends over a relationship. Your friends will be there through an assortment of guys and a variety of girls and its important not to forget about them; even in the fun, passionate beginning of a relationship. Girls’ nights and guy time are a fun way to catch up with your friends while getting some needed time apart from your significant other. Remember: time apart truly allows you to appreciate the time you have together even more. And besides, we’re young! We gotta get out there and enjoy our wild and zealous youth with our friends…regardless of our relationship status!
