Business WomenSeptember 22 is American Business Women’s Day (ABW), an annual event that recognizes the accomplishments and achievements of the millions of working women in America. ABW has been celebrated since 1982.

In 1949, American business man Hilary A. Bufton Jr.  founded the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA).  Bufton, along with three business women, incorporated the ABWA on September 22, 1949.  2009 marks the 60th anniversary of the American Business Women’s Association.
