It's obvious why teens like the suede, mid-calf boots they wear over jeans - they're cute, fun, and cozy. For adults, boots can be kicky, classy, and powerful. But it's important that they're comfortable enough to get you through the day. Think work, social event, errands.

Chunky heels, especially the softer ones, can give you comfort and style. If you get in and out of the car several times a day, or navigate sidewalks or steps, find boots that give you a solid foundation. That doesn't necessarily mean flat heels - just what's comfortable for you. Both flat and stacked heels look smart. The bottom of the boot shoud be sturdy and supportive. A padded insole helps.
