Stephanie Hechtle Richardson is a young wife and mom in Utah, not a famous published writer, but you can learn from good writing wherever you find it, and this is just a Facebook status update, but it's another wonderful example of our current theme: saying a lot with just a few words.
Here's the FB post:

Stephanie vs. her fear of firing the 12 gauge shotgun: Stephanie wins! Stephanie vs. the
treadmill: Stephanie wins! Stephanie vs. the very large, very weedy garden: Stephanie wins! Stephanie vs. the stubborn 3 year old......3 year old wins.

In four sentences, she chooses a selection of details that add up to a winning character study. Each detail adds a little more to the picture. And in four sentences, she tells the story--sets up a plot and a resolution. The triumphs are small but real. The defeat is inevitable.
Today's challenge. Write a four sentence character study of yourself that also tells a story. Then do the same for a character you make up.
