
Authorities have released artist sketches of two items believed to be with Somer Thompson the day she went missing.
Witnesses reported Somer carrying a tote bag and lunch box when she was last seen walking home from school on Oct. 19.
The 7-year-old Orange Park, Florida girl disappeared while walking home from school on October 19. Her body was found in a Georgia landfill on October 22.
The tote bag is pink with black straps and had a white skull and cross bones design. The round lunch box with zipper was also pink with a pig design.
The items were featured on an episode of the crime-solving TV show "America's Most Wanted" that aired Saturday Nov. 7. The Clay County Sheriff's Office has added additional manpower to respond to the potential tips that may come in as a result of the show.
The Sheriff's Office is working closely with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the U.S. Marshals, and the FBI to help bring Somer’s killer to justice.
A $45,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Somer's killer. Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at (877) 227-6911 or Crime Stoppers at (866) 845-8477 (845-TIPS) to remain anonymous or e-mail CART@claysheriff.com.
