Father and four sons charged with molesting children

In a shocking case out of Missouri, a father and his four sons are being accused of a host of despicable crimes against children, some as young as 11.
Burrell Edward Mohler Sr., 77, and his sons were charged with several felonies, including forcible sodomy, rape with a child younger than 12 and use of a child in a sexual performance.
Authorities say the outrageous allegations, which include bestiality, forcing children into fake marriages with relatives, and making an 11-year-old have an abortion, took place from 1988 to 1995.
The Lafayette County Prosecutors office said that several female relatives of the men and one male relative were abused by the men. And as if this case couldn’t get any more shocking, one female victim told police she was made to have sex with a dog.
So far five victims, who were all under the age of 12 when molested, have been located, but according to Cpl. Bill Lowe of the Missouri highway patrol, there could be more victims.
Lowe said the case broke when a daughter of one of the suspects came forward with the allegations. Lowe said the children buried notes in glass jars about the abuse when it was happening to them.
Police are actively searching for those jars and other evidence, including possible bodies on land owned by some of the men. Police would not elaborate at this time about the search for bodies.
The accused men are Burrell Edward Mohler Sr., of Independence, Mo., and sons Burrell Edward Mohler Jr., 53, of Independence, 48-year-old Jared Leroy Mohler of Columbia, Mo., David A. Mohler, 52, of Lamoni, Iowa, and Roland Neil Mohler, 47, of Bates City, Mo.
All five men were arrested on Tuesday and are currently being held without bail.
