Filing a Caim with the Veterans Administration for Benefits
The VA can be a very difficult to navigate when applying for your disability benefits. However the first step is actually the simplest step possible.

Option: 2 benefits for Veteran

Option: 3 (two types of disability)

Option 1: for Service Connected Disability (this is a medical condition/disability that occurred while in the service)

Option 3: Vocational Rehabilitation (this is for school)
An advisor will come on the line ask for the following information:

Name

Date of Birth

Branch of Service
-
Reason for Claim
-
Ask for your symptoms and the onset of the symptoms

Doctors you have seen and when

Have you ever been hospitalized for your disability, if so where and when
The advisor will take the information down all the information, and submit your claim. Within about two to three week a packet will arrive in the mail letting you know that, your claim is being process and if you have any additional information please fill out the forms and submit. Also included in the packet is a release this is in case you have seen private doctors.
