Needless to say, this experience with essential oils opened me up to the subtle yet tremendous power they can have in the end-of-life and dying process. On some level I have known that the oils possess this kind of magic, since I’ve heard about how
they were used in ancient times around death and burial. After all, it was the three wise men who brought Jesus Frankincense and Myrrh. Frank-incense means "real incense," and is one of the favorites of the spirit realm, I'm told. Myrrh is the oil that was used to help keep the skin in tact after death; it was used by Arabian people for many skin conditions, for example. The Egyptians were known for their use of these oils in their tombs and pyramids as well.
Incidentally, a person does not have to be dying or experiencing a transition to enjoy the benefits of these oils. I use them on a regular basis to lift my mood and raise my vibration: Frankincense is known for its anti-depressant quality and for its ability to connect a person with the spiritual realm; it’s also a wonderful tonic for the skin and anti-tumoral as well. I have heard about a mother whose son had a brain tumor. She kept her son’s head wet with Frankincense. Over time, the son was healed by the power of this oil that was once considered more valuable than gold.
Frankincense has also been known to work its magic with people suffering from Alzheimer’s. If ever you happen to be with an obstinate person who suffers from Alzheimer’s, apply some of this wonderful oil on your own hands, then run your hands through their aura -- just being near them should do the trick. This process will very soon have a calming effect on the headstrong individual.
There are many other essential oils with all kinds of special qualities. For example, Lavender is a beautiful relaxant, also a tonic for the skin, Peppermint can help you lose weight, and Peppermint and Patchouli can help improve your digestion; Rosemary and Cedarwood can help stimulate hair growth. If you are interested in finding out more about these miracle oils, see the “Essential (YL) Oils” page on my website; I have also developed some Soul Baskets -- gift baskets for the soul -- that incorporate some of these wonderful oils. Please see www.SoulBaskets.com for more.
